Your Next Opportunity:
As a Year 5 Primary School Teacher at St Brigid's, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational journey of our students. Your responsibilities will encompass creating a dynamic and engaging curriculum, tailored to meet the individual needs of each student. Through your passion for teaching, you will inspire a love for learning, foster critical thinking skills, and provide a supportive environment that encourages personal and academic growth.
With collaborative leadership, you will work closely with parents and staff to create a cohesive learning community that nurtures the spiritual, intellectual, social, and emotional development of our students.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Work collaboratively to plan and deliver a comprehensive curriculum for Year 5 students, encompassing a range of subjects and tailored to meet individual learning needs
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement, active participation, and academic growth
- Provide effective assessment and feedback to students, monitoring their progress and identifying areas for further development
- Collaborate with parents, staff, and the Parish Priest to create a strong partnership that supports the holistic development of students
- Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated with the latest educational practices and methodologies
What You’ll Bring to St Brigid’s:
To be considered for this position, you’ll need to be eligible for full accreditation with NSW Educational Standards Authority (NESA).
You will also ideally have prior experience in a similar position, however, we are open to considering candidates that are new to the industry and looking for a rewarding career in a unique learning environment.
Your understanding of contemporary pedagogy and the ability to differentiate and provide for a diverse range of abilities will be critical to your continued success with St Brigid’s.
Additional requirements include:
- Hold a current NSW Working with Children Check
- Knowledge of the Catholic ethos and mission of the school
- Ability to work as a member of a committed team of professional teachers, dedicated to providing quality teaching and learning in partnership with the parent community
- Demonstrated ability to incorporate digital technologies into effective classroom learning and teaching
Candidates that progress to the interview stage of our recruitment process will also be asked to provide a referral from a local Parish Priest or Minister.
